Log-roll in confined space
To facilitate the log-roll, the injured person’s feet are sometimes tied to each other using clothing or a belt.
It should be remembered that these are ideal scenarios and that sometimes an injured person does not present themselves in such a way that the ideal techniques can be used.
In this case a sound knowledge of what is “best practice” given the prevailing conditions is essential in improvising the management of the injured person, bearing in mind the importance of minimising movement of the head and neck.
