Remember…
It is critical to remember that any force sufficient enough to cause a head injury (especially if somebody is currently unconscious, or has previously been “knocked out”) that enough force has also been exerted to cause a spinal injury, usually to the cervical region.
This gives rise to saying that “all head injuries are spinal injuries until proven otherwise“.
In this case “proven” means satisfactory examination in a hospital by an experienced clinician with appropriate diagnostic facilities: plain x-rays as a minimum and usually computerised tomography (or “CT”) scanning.
